What are you trying to find out in your research? In my research I am trying to discover many things which will help me in developing my A2 coursework. The main thing I am trying to discover is whether people still consume music videos and what the age range is of people who consume them. I am also trying to discover what other media products people consume and if they think that my idea for a music video is a good one or if i should change elements of it.  When conducting my research I went out into Wymondham town to ask people the questions as apposed to just asking people in the sixth-from. There are many strengths to doing this, the main being that it gives me more reliable data. In the sixth-form there are only students and teacher so just asking them my research questions limits the demographic response of my data to just students and teachers. Final - Song choice (46)

The song that I am using for my music video is 'Losing Your Memory' by Ryan Star which doesn't have an official music video. This means that I can't see what interpretation for a video others have created for the song and the video I create for it will be completely inspired by how I have interpreted the lyrics, and how I envision a video for this song would be like. Although the song I have chosen doesn't have a music video, some of the artists other songs do. All of these videos are different, however most do have a common theme.  Song - Impossible Song - Bullet Song - Don't Give Up Song - We Might Fall Each of the videos include a performance element with either the singer or whole band in the video. This is one link which I will not be having in my music video due to the fact that I feel that a performance element will take away from the emotion I wish to display in my video. Planning - Directing Style (34)

In my music video I am uncertain on what particular directing style I will use when filming, however in my video I do plan on using certain techniques to help portray my narrative. The most important technique will be using flashbacks which help to illustrate to the viewer the relationship between the father and daughter. It is very important therefore that when filming I am able to get across to the viewer that certain scenes are flashbacks and are not part of the regular narrative. I also wish to use lots of close ups and extreme close ups in my video to get across the detail and emotion of the video to the viewers. This again is another important aspect of my video as I feel that these shots are crucial in creating a cathartic music video.
