My documentary video about David Wilson Planning and research for my documentary about David Wilson David Wilson is a London based director and animator. He is most well known for his music videos, having created videos for artists like David Guatta, the Arctic Monkeys and The Maccabees.  He takes enjoyment from crossing disciplines between animation and live action, often combining the two to create something unique.  Wilson studied illustration at Brighton University which has helped him in his career of becoming a unique music video director. He studied illustration as apposed to film as he never believed that becoming a film director was possible. What have you learned from your audience feedback? In order to answer this question I decided to collect my audience feedback in the form of two mediums. The first being an online survey which I could share to people easily via social media, and the second being an interview in which I recorded respondents feedback on my ancillary tasks and music video. The online survey gave a wider scope of people the chance to give me feedback while the online interview with individuals allowed the chance to get people to expand more on what they thought. With the filmed interview I decided to specifically ask people who were between the age of 17 and 25 due to this being the target audience for my music video. This would help me to understand more if the products I had made would appeal to my target audience and if not, how I could change them so they would. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions or real media products? I have chosen to present my music video and ancillary tasks on youtube and blogger. Youtube is typically where most music videos get uploaded to so by uploading mine there too I can be seen conforming to the typical conventions of where a music video would be uploaded to.
