Planning - Rehearsal Footage (35)
I felt that the rehearsals for the music video went very well and afterwards the cast seemed to understand more about what I wanted from them for certain scenes and how I wanted them to portray certain emotions at certain points. The rehearsals gave my cast the chance to understand how I wanted them to portray the characters and also how they should act together. Because my video is meant to be very emotional, the atmosphere of the video depends on how well my cast can portray a close father and daughter relationship and how devastating it is when the father finds out his daughter is dead.

By rehearsing the scene at Thetford forest I was able to find the most aesthetic and scenic routes to film my cast for the music video. It also helped my cast to understand what understand where I would be filming and where I wanted them to do certain things (walking, building a den and sward fighting with sticks)

At the field the aim of the rehearsal footage was mainly to see how the dogs would react with the camera as well as with the cast who they haven't met before. During the filming we found that the dogs were very well behaved and seemed to get along okay both with the camera and the cast. Rehearsing this scene really help the cast to understand what I wanted them to do with the dogs and how to control them best during the filming. It has also made me realise that on the day of filming I should probably bring more treats and a tennis ball so we can easily reward the dogs for good behaviour and keep them out of trouble and focused on what I want them to do
